I called at 11:30 and spoke to Ashley and got a price for a shampoo and flat iron for black hair. I was told 14 to 18 dollars depending on how long the hair was as to which price it would be.

I made a 12:30 appointment. When I arrived Ashley, Becky and Melody were working. Melody ended up being the one to flat iron my 9 1/2 year old granddaughters hair. She cut some of the back off to even it up. A charge that should have been 10.95 based on their current advertisement. When Melody finished, she charged me 42.95. I told her that this was not the price I had been quoted only hours earlier. She said that she spent a lot of time on her hair and felt that was the standard rate. Everyone else had been wrong in charging me less. I told her that she could not change the price after an agreement had been made and she just stood there complaining about having to do her hair in the first place.

I foolishly paid but feel very strongly that I have been ripped off by this company and these girls. Becky who had done my hair just the day before, stood there and supported Melody's outrageous charges.

It seems to me that if these girls don't want to do hair, then don't do it but don't take your selfish attitudes out on customers who trust that what they are told will be honored.

I had planned on taking my granddaughter to a beauty school and the charge was $12. I very much regret not having stuck with the original plan. No one could have guessed that this would happen but now I know and they will never get my business again.

I should also add that 30 minutes later, we went to Cracker Barrel to grab some lunch and her hair had already started to frizz out. Plus the cut was not even with the sides. So this girl, Melody, did not know what she was doing.

Monetary Loss: $43.

Location: Gallatin, Tennessee

maybe your child had nappy *** hair, you dont care about the effort it takes to do your childs hair, then do it by your own self. whoever said 14-18$ was VERY wrong, no way in this world, and maybe your childs hair was longer therefore the charge! duh.

i dont understand why they even told you 14 or 18 dollars. there is no way in this world i would do a shampoo and flatiron for that cheap

did u ever stop to think when you go to a beauty salon you are paying for the employees time. The longer the service takes the more they will charge, and rightly so as this is a business and the point of a business is to make money.

If you want it done for next to nothing maybe you should stick to a beauty school and not a professional salon. :x
