I need someone from the corporate office to contact me. I have already contacted and filed a complaint with the walmart smart style is located where I had my hair done.
They stated they will contact someone at SmartStyle coporate office and provide my information and the complaint I have filed. I have not received a call yet from anyone from Smart Style. This is an urgent matter. Your stylist that did my hair burned my head and hair.
I have been in pain since then. And my hair is still falling out.

Hair color gone wrong. I want a refund.
I had to go to another salon to correct it. I wanted it corrected on 12/28, but the salon could not redo it. They said they were booked up. I explained I had to work on 12/30, but I can't go to work like this.
I had to find another salon to correct it, which is costing me more money. Smart Style should have allowed me to return, but they said the girl, Bryn, was off until Tuesday. Besides, the salon was freezing cold. I felt like I was sitting outside, so I went to another salon.
Come on, make it right. I called today, 12/30, and spoke with McKinley. She gave me two customer service numbers that are wrong. The first one is 208-918-**** and it's just beeping.
The second one is 208-917-****, which is Rug Rat flooring. I believe honest phone numbers should have been given.
I will dispute the charges with my bank if I don't get a refund. I am a very unhappy customer.

Very upset if nothing done by to day in talking my photos and story to every social media site I can!

Went in expecting first picture which I was told day before they could do no problem left after 41/2 hours and 254.46$ with hair looking so bad see second picture!

I had an online appointment for 10:30 at the Clifton Park SmartStyle. They open at 10 am according to their sign on the wall.
The place was closed with the gates down. No employees were even there. I waited 15 minutes and still no one showed up. I am very disappointed with this place.
I had to go to another place to have my hair done. I am done with SmartStyle.
Preferred solution: I just wanted to make corporate aware of this issue. You lost a customer for good.

I was just trying once again to reapply for a management position in the SmartStyle in Waveland Mississippi. That’s Salaun is never ever open.
Hello, my name is Brenda. I have applied for Smart style salon a few months ago and I was hired to be the manager of the salon in Waveland.
The day I went for the interview the girl working there told me that she was the manager of six smart styles and they were not hiring me to be the manager.
This salon stays closed five days a week so I think its poor management. I would love to get Salaun back up on its feet and if shes the manager of six other salons, maybe I need to be the manager of those two.

Went to the first lady she screwed my hair up on top of that that only did she just chop my hair horribly almost got her gum in my hair, spitting all over my face, using dirty brushes and combs in my hair then she put something on my hair, which screwed up the dye job as well to a second lady for the same company claims she could fix it took two pictures. The first picture the haircut looked nothing like it went in the next day asked her to fix it again with a different picture because it had to even go shorter.
Looks nothing like it in fact about ready to shave my hair off because none of them evidently know how to cut hair. My daughter allowed her to cut my daughters hair. Her hair looks nothing like the picture she took in either.
Want my money back very tempted to sue the company in general.
I have never in my life. Been ashamed to leave my house because of my hair like I am now never felt so disgusting when I left a hair place as I did the day she cut it was supposed to hear back from a district manager never heard back from anybody

No one is here yet. There is no one to call to inquire. Last time (last week) salon opened late. They knew all week that machines were down and I'd need cash.
No one called to tell me to bring cash. Wen they arrved, they told me to buy something to get cash, or pay atm fee.N/A

Leaving comment for my daughters experience...Smartstyle is not exactly a smart choice. Maybe if you don't care about your hair or how it looks this might be the place for you.However my daughter has beautiful hair.Now after the wasted time, money, and paying for a service to feel good about yourself you should never leave a salon upset.However at Smartstyles in Owasso Oklahoma that does happen.My daughter spent from her 12:00 appointment until nearly 7 pm this evening 12/14/2024 with her stylist Sierra.Needless to say I am going to have to pay someone else .Not Smartstyle but find a reputable salon who knows how to do highlights the right way.NOT only did she spend 7 hours in the chair.Her shirt is completely ruined.She was charged 2 extra bowls where her shirt got it which her whole back was covered in color besides my seat in my car when she got in.Now I will have to pay a professional detailer to get the color out of the back of my seat.No wonder on their receipt it says no refunds.You shouldn't have to worry about a refund anyway.It should be done right .I'm just hoping this saves anyone else out their the trouble we have to fix emotionally and financially. This location should be shut down.Dont go here

I received a perm on Monday, December 16. Left salon with very wet hair.
We had discussed drying it, but stylist didn't seem to have time or listen. Dried naturally during the evening. Was not happy at all with how it looked. Tuesday I was ashamed to ho out of the house.
Globs were burned and some areas were just straight. Went back into salon, 2 different stylists were shocked . Took pictures and texted them to mngmnt. Cut off LOTS of my hair, I had been growing out for over 6 months!
Assured me I would be receiving a refund. $75, 15 tip, plus additional $20 to stylist who tried to do something with it.
3 weeks had passed, no communication from Smart Styles. Called several times to speak with Mgr. Left mssgs on answering machine.
No response. Called last week to finally talk with Mgr. (Dee) she said it was the furst she had heard of it!! I do NOT believe this is true.
She said I could come into the shop or she gave me a phone # for "Corporate " to expedite my refund. The phone number she gavr nd is a non functioning munber. I used google to attempt to locate a correct number. Also left message for Dee again!
I have held off on posting a review, but I am out $110, burned, damaged, and cut off 6 months worth of growing out my hair with NO resolution in sight.

My hair was colored incorrectly! My cut had a chunk missing from the back and when I saw the manager on the 23rd, she said she couldn't fix the color for fear of damaging my hair further!
She tried to fix the cut and said it was totally unacceptable!
She couldn't figure out how to give me a refund on the computer and said she would get back to me. I've heard nothing and can't get in contact with them.

Complaint about a very bad haircut at smartstyle
They cut my hair to short when I wanted shoulder length hair . My hair was verylong.
Pictures below show how long my hair was ,what i wanted ,how short they cut it.The company has not gotten back to me. So I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Terrible company Terrible customer service .

I went in and asked for blonde highlights and a short bob. Very simple.
I was charged $90 which seemed ridiculous, but I thought it would save time getting at Walmart and then getting groceries. We'll, that was stupid. I could not have been more specific, BUT, I've been to enough stylists to realize something was off. The girl didn't use foil for my hair, but instead I felt like I was getting in home color.
Made no sense. While the color was on my head, the stylist working on me had another stylist wash her hair!!! I should have left, but I didn't. For the cut, I cannot make this up, she cut it straight across.
There was no cutting all over. She did nothing but cut straight across, and then used the clippers that they use on the back of your neck, to cut several pieces in the back. When I saw the finished product...I couldn't do anything. She turned my hair yellow/strawberry blonde all over.
The cut is horrible..it's unable to be styled at all. I'm so embarrassed..now, I have to pay someone to fix it!
I would love to find a way to get my money back, but no one has reached out since I provided pictures. This stylist is why a lot of people WON'T use a salon in walmart!

The 1st. Time I went there my style was nothing as zi asked for, and the lady said she knew what I wanted., I was just hoping it grew fast so I could look for another place.the second time si couldn’t find no one else, so I was with my sister in law, and told her the only place was Walmart.
And I told her what happened the 1st. Time I went, but she told me I’m going to be there and I’ll tell her what you want. And as soon as coincidentally the same employee sat me and asked what Style I wanted, my sister told her how much to cut and which style. As she was cutting she kept asking how long and which way should she cut every area.
And my sister will tell her. Finally the style came out as I wanted thanks to my sister in law. She wanted me to have a person to know my hair and what I want for another time she can’t go with me. And because her license hasn’t been renewed because of the requirements in Florida.
When they should make a person show what she knows with fake heads as they do in beauty school and forget whatever writing text they requires. People who are really good stylists and could bring a lot of clients to a salon are practically deprive of working that field or profession.
